From the tender stage through to project turnover, Site Energy Services is committed to deliver a quality product and create value for all stakeholders. We recognize that effective communication is critical at all levels within our organization.
Estimating
Most of our estimates and proposals are completed from our corporate office through our Support Services group. We utilize estimating software supplied by Heavy Construction Systems Specialists (HCSS). The program, Heavy Bid, is production based and provides the flexibility to prepare and present various types of estimates. It also allows for standardization of estimating data to promote consistency within the organiztion.
Project Execution Plan (PEP)
During the estimating process, Site Energy Services completes a preliminary execution strategy to support the estimate development. The extent of this is based on size and nature of the work but it typically includes a safety plan, quality plan, schedule and construction sequencing. Upon award of a project, the PEP is detailed to support the execution and provide the project team with the tools for completing the work successfully.
Project Controls
The challenge we face on most projects is having the information in on a timely manner for assessment and decision making. Site Energy Services utilizes field management software supplied by Heavy Construction Systems Specialists (HCSS). The program, Heavy Job, uses the estimating data from Heavy Bid as a baseline for the project's budget and production expectations. All production and cost data is collected in Heavy Job on a daily basis and analyzed for performance against the budget. Cost forecasting, trending, and change management are also completed with the information from the Heavy Job software. Site Energy Services uses Primavera P6 for scheduling and resource management. This is integrated with the HCSS suite of software to allow for seamless data transfer and real time management.
Procurement & Material Management
Site Energy Services has developed a strong relationship with suppliers / subcontractors that produce competitive pricing and preferred service within the industry. A central purchasing group enables a bulk purchasing approach for best value and to optimize logistics.
